Our story is rooted in generations of Mexican culinary tradition, beginning with our grandfather, José Flores, in Juchitlán, Jalisco, Mexico. From his childhood, José learned the butcher trade in the family carnicería and fields, mastering everything from butchering techniques to customer service. Today, his granddaughters proudly continue this rich family heritage.
Years later, in Tarachi, Sonora, another chapter of our family story began. A young man with big dreams and a strong work ethic found his life partner, and together, they opened their first carnicería in 2003.
After dedicating over six years to serving the community of Pueblo, Colorado, and more than three in Tucson, Arizona, these two families united to establish Sonoras Prime Carnicería & Taco Shop in Colorado Springs. Together, we are committed to upholding our families’ legacy, bringing the authentic and finest Sonora’s Mexican flavors directly to your table.
