María José Alcalá, the President of the Mexican Olympic Committee, warmly welcomed the Olympic medalists back to their “home,” the COM headquarters. Alcalá Izguerra highlighted the remarkable statistic of 1,792 Olympians representing Mexico, a notable figure within a nation of over 130 million people.
