La Casa de los Famosos México 2024: Season 2 Winner Crowned

TelevisaUnivision’s La Casa de los Famosos México Season 2 has concluded, naming its winner after 71 days of continuous livestreaming on Vix. The reality show, a Mexican adaptation of the Big Brother format, captivated audiences and dominated social media throughout its ten-week run.

The finale featured four contenders: Arath de la Torre, Gala Montes, Karime Pindter, and Mario Bezares. Viewers actively participated by voting for their favorite housemates, ultimately deciding who would stay and who would be evicted each week.

Season 2 wasn’t without its controversies. Advertisers briefly withdrew their support due to the behavior of contestant Adrián Marcelo, who was criticized for his psychological tactics against fellow Team Mar members. Marcelo eventually exited the show amidst the backlash.

Despite the controversy, Team Mar resonated strongly with viewers, with all five original members reaching the final stages of Season 2. Brigitte Bozzo finished in fifth place, just days before the grand finale.

La Casa de los Famosos México is based on the Big Brother format created by John de Mol and is produced in Mexico by Endemol Shine Boomdog. Fans in Mexico could watch the entire season unfold live, 24/7, through subscriptions to Vix Premium.

Notably, Season 1 of La Casa de los Famosos México saw Wendy Guevara make history as the first transgender winner of the competition, setting a precedent for groundbreaking representation within the format.
