Our History: From Humble Beginnings
When Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant first opened its doors in 1965, it was a truly family affair. My father, Manuel, was the heart and soul of the operation, single-handedly cooking, serving, and even washing dishes for our original nine tables. The kitchen was located where our service bar is now, and the spaces currently occupied by our kitchen and upstairs dining area were once apartments. My mother, after finishing her day job, would join us to help with serving our growing clientele. I was just six years old at the time and practically grew up in this restaurant.
