- Holiday Surcharge: New Year’s, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day holidays incur a $25 extra per night surcharge with a minimum night stay requirement.
- Corner Room Surcharge: East and West End Corner Rooms have a $25 per night additional charge.
- Extra Person Surcharge: Rates are based on 4 persons for Queen rooms and 2 persons for King rooms. An extra person surcharge of $25 per night applies for each additional guest (one extra person maximum allowed per room).
- Children: Children under 8 years old stay free. Cribs (pack-n-play) are available upon request, subject to availability. Guests are responsible for providing their own extra bedding as rollaway beds or pallets are not provided.

Payment & Cancellation:
To secure your reservation at El Governor Mexico Beach FL, a one-night deposit is charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged 6 days prior to your scheduled arrival. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before your arrival date to avoid forfeiting your one-night deposit.
Refunds:
- Full Refund: To receive a full refund, cancellations must be made 7 days prior to arrival, subject to a $20 credit card processing fee.
- Deposit Forfeiture: Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will result in the loss of your one-night deposit.
- No-Show Policy: No refunds are provided for no-show reservations.
Check-In/Check-Out:
- Check-In: After 4:00 PM CST.
- Check-Out: Before 11:00 AM CST. Late check-outs may incur additional fees.
Resort Rules for a Pleasant Stay
El Governor Beachfront Resort strives to maintain a family-friendly and respectful environment for all guests. Your cooperation with the following resort rules is appreciated:
- No Pets Allowed: To ensure the comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted at El Governor Resort.
- Family-Friendly Environment: El Governor is a family destination. Behavior that is deemed inappropriate or compromises the resort’s reputation will result in immediate removal from the property. Security cameras are in use throughout the property.
- Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are observed from 11:00 PM CST to 8:00 AM CST and are strictly enforced. Please be considerate of fellow guests during these hours.
- Child Supervision: Parents are responsible for their children’s behavior and safety. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times in all buildings and on the property.
- Room Issues: Please report any issues with your room or property concerns promptly for swift resolution.
- Parking: Each room is allotted one parking space. Additional vehicles, watercraft, and trailers must be parked in the overflow RV Park parking lot with a required pass obtained from the reservation desk. Extra vehicle passes are $10.00 per day. Display your pass on your dashboard.
- Smoking Policy: Smoking and vaping are restricted to designated areas only. Smoking is strictly prohibited in rooms, parking areas, balconies, the bar, and the pool deck. Violation of this policy may lead to eviction. Security cameras are in use.
- No Feeding Seagulls: Please refrain from feeding seagulls from balconies or anywhere on the property.
- No Grills or Cooking on Balconies: Grilling and cooking are not permitted on balconies.
- No Throwing Items from Balconies: Draining coolers or discarding items from balconies is prohibited.
- Fireworks Prohibited: Fireworks are not allowed on the property or on Mexico Beach.
- Illegal Drugs: Possession of illegal drugs will result in immediate eviction.
- No Skateboards/Scooters: Skateboards, scooters, and similar mobile toys are not permitted on the premises.
- Parking Lot Speed Limit: The speed limit in the parking lot is 5 MPH. Please drive cautiously and be mindful of pedestrians.
