Looking for the perfect all-inclusive getaway in Mexico? Last Christmas, our family traded snow for sunshine and ventured to Cabo San Lucas for a memorable holiday at Dreams Los Cabos. Accustomed to cozy Christmas Eve gatherings at home, this trip was a delightful surprise orchestrated by my parents, offering a fresh take on our festive traditions.

Neither my partner, Drew, nor I had experienced Cabo or the all-inclusive resort concept before, adding an extra layer of excitement to sharing this adventure with my family. The resort’s positioning is truly idyllic, allowing for effortless relaxation amidst breathtaking scenery. Everywhere you look is picture-postcard perfect, enhancing the overall tranquil atmosphere.

Breakfast at Dreams Los Cabos was a unanimous family favorite. The breakfast buffet offered an astounding variety of food and beverage options, catering to every palate. Each morning, we made it a point to sit on the outdoor patios, soaking in the magnificent sunrise and the gentle ocean breeze while we enjoyed our meals. The buffet’s generous hours, from 7:00 am to 11:30 am, were particularly convenient, accommodating both the early birds and late risers in our family.

Dreams Los Cabos, much like a cruise ship, ensures guests are never short of entertainment. The resort boasts a diverse daily program, ranging from invigorating sunrise workout classes to lively midday foam parties and enchanting nighttime movies right on the beach. There’s a constant buzz of activity with something tailored to every age and interest.

While seemingly minor, the complimentary mini-bar in each room and the free room service were appreciated perks. Though not heavily utilized by our group, these small touches added to the overall all-inclusive experience, emphasizing convenience and guest satisfaction.

Cons of Dreams Los Cabos:

My younger sister, aged 13, expressed slight disappointment with the number of pools at Dreams Los Cabos. Having previously visited Cabo and stayed at a different resort with a wider array of pool choices, she found this aspect somewhat lacking in comparison.

As a beach enthusiast, I appreciated the opportunity to unwind in a lounge chair on the sandy expanse. However, access to the ocean water was restricted due to strong undertows and a history of coastal incidents. Swimming is prohibited without signing a waiver, which might deter those primarily seeking ocean swimming.

While generally satisfactory, we observed that portion sizes at some of the on-site restaurants were on the smaller side. However, the all-inclusive nature of Dreams Los Cabos readily addresses this – guests are welcome to order multiple appetizers or entrees to ensure a fulfilling meal.

The beer selection was a point of minor frustration for my brothers and father, who felt the variety was somewhat limited. For someone like myself, who isn’t a frequent drinker, this was not an issue, but it’s worth noting for beer aficionados.
