Pepe Barcenas, the general manager of the League City location and a key member of the Barcenas family, expressed enthusiasm for the warm reception from the community, anticipating continued success as the seasons change.

The Barcenas family’s roots trace back to Guerrero, Mexico, where Homero Barcenas began his culinary journey at the age of 14 in his uncle’s restaurant. Pepe Barcenas followed a similar path, entering the food industry at 17, gaining experience at Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen before joining the family business. Pepe’s extensive experience includes seven years at the La Marque location before taking the helm at the new League City restaurant. He now works alongside his three sons, further cementing the family-oriented atmosphere that defines Barcenas Mexican Restaurant.
Barcenas Mexican Restaurant in League City upholds the tradition of its sister locations, offering comprehensive menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Diners can expect a diverse selection of both classic Mexican dishes and beloved Tex-Mex favorites. Seafood options and a full cocktail menu further enhance the dining experience. Lunch specials are available Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., providing affordable midday options. Patrons can also look forward to occasional happy hour specials, such as the popular $3.99 margaritas.
