Special Discounts and Important Rate Information:
- 10% Discount: We proudly offer a 10% discount to First Responders, Seniors, and Military personnel on stays from Sunday to Thursday (excluding Summer months).
- Discounts cannot be combined with already discounted rates.
- Weekend Minimum: A two-night minimum stay is required on weekends during March – July.
- Holiday Surcharge: New Year’s, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day holidays are subject to an additional $25 per night surcharge and may require a minimum night stay.
- Corner Room Surcharge: East and West End Corner Rooms incur an extra $25 per night surcharge due to their premium views.
Rates are based on occupancy. Rooms with two queen beds accommodate up to 4 people, with a $25 surcharge per night for one additional person. King Rooms accommodate 2 people, with the same $25 surcharge for one extra person. Children under 8 years old are not subject to extra charges. Please note that guests are responsible for providing their own extra bedding, as rollaway beds are not available. Pack-n-play cribs are available upon request, subject to availability.
Daily room service is not provided, however, it is available upon request for a $10 service charge. Fresh towels are always available upon request.
El Governor Beachfront Resort Policies
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay at our Mexico Beach hotel, please take note of our policies:
Payment & Cancellation:
A deposit equal to one night’s stay is charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be charged 6 days prior to your arrival. To avoid charges, cancellations must be made 7 days or more before your arrival date. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival will result in forfeiture of the one-night deposit.
Refunds:
- Full refunds are available for cancellations made 7 days prior to arrival, minus a $20 credit card processing fee.
- Cancellations after the 7-day window will result in the loss of the one-night deposit.
- No-show reservations are non-refundable.
Check-In & Check-Out:
- Check-In: After 4:00 PM CST
- Check-Out: Before 11:00 AM CST. Late check-outs will incur additional fees.

El Governor Beachfront Resort is dedicated to providing a family-friendly and respectful environment for all our guests. To ensure everyone enjoys their time with us, please adhere to the following resort rules:
General Conduct:
We pride ourselves on being a family destination and expect all guests to behave respectfully. Any behavior deemed inappropriate or that compromises the resort’s reputation may result in immediate removal from the property. Our premises are monitored by security cameras for everyone’s safety and security. Cursing, excessive alcohol consumption, nudity, or rudeness will not be tolerated.
Quiet Time:
To ensure a peaceful environment for all guests, quiet time is enforced from 11:00 PM CST to 8:00 AM CST. Please be considerate of your fellow guests during these hours.
Children:
Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult in all buildings and on the property.
Problem Reporting:
Please report any issues with your room or any concerns on the property to our staff promptly. We are committed to addressing issues as quickly as possible to ensure your comfort.
Parking:
Each room is permitted one vehicle in the main parking area. Extra vehicles, watercraft, and trailers must be parked in the overflow RV Park parking lot. A parking pass is required for each vehicle and can be obtained at the reservation desk. Extra vehicle passes are $10.00 per day per vehicle. Please display your pass clearly on your dashboard.

Smoking Policy:
To maintain a clean and healthy environment, smoking and vaping are restricted to designated areas only. Smoking is strictly prohibited in:
- Rooms
- Parking areas
- Balconies
- Bar
- Pool deck
Violation of this policy may result in eviction from the property. Our property is equipped with security cameras to monitor compliance.
Other Rules:
- Please do not feed seagulls from balconies or anywhere on the property.
- Grilling and cooking are not permitted on balconies.
- Draining coolers or throwing items from balconies is prohibited.
- Fireworks are not allowed on the property or on Mexico Beach.
- Possession of illegal drugs will result in immediate eviction.
- Skateboards, scooters, and similar mobile toys are not permitted on the premises.
- The speed limit in the parking lot is 5 MPH. Please drive cautiously and be mindful of pedestrians.
