Arnold Funeral Home Mexico, MO: Services for Kenneth Armin Roth

Kenneth Armin Roth, 69, of Mexico, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Funeral services were held at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, MO, on Thursday at 10 a.m., officiated by Dr. David Fray. Visitation was held the previous evening from 4-8 p.m., also at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial followed at Friedens United Church of Christ Cemetery in St. Charles.

Kenneth Armin Roth: A Life Dedicated to Family and Farming

Born on February 24, 1943, in St. Charles, Missouri, Kenneth was the son of Armin and Naomi (Marsh) Roth. He married JoAnn Hemsath on February 8, 1964, in St. Charles, and they relocated to Mexico in 1984. A 1962 graduate of Francis Howell High School in St. Charles, Kenneth was a dedicated farmer and an active member of his community.

Community Involvement and Personal Passions

Kenneth was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in St. Charles. His commitment to agriculture extended to his involvement in several organizations, including the Audrain County Cattlemen Association, the Audrain County Farm Bureau (where he served as a board member), Mexico Young Farmers, and the Pork Producers. Beyond farming, Kenneth cherished spending time with his family, especially attending his grandchildren’s activities. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, collecting old farm equipment, fishing, and hunting for mushrooms, doves, frogs, and squirrels.

Family and Remembrance

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 48 years, JoAnn; his son, Bart Roth, and wife, Sally of Mexico; three grandchildren, Kyle, Bryan, and Mattie; his sister, Harriet Ostmann, and her husband, Orville of Paoli, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Bret Roth and Brad Roth, and his parents.

Memorial donations can be made to Friedens United Church of Christ or Bethel Presbyterian Church. Donations can be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, located at 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
